2. What Information We Collect

We collect the following types of data:

  • Technical data such as IP address, device, and browser information (via Vercel Web Analytics and Pydantic Logfire)
  • Publicly available information about tattoo artists and studios (e.g., name, styles, location)
  • Review data you submit, including your name, email address, ratings, and any comments. Your email address is used only to verify the review and is not published.
  • Appointment request data you submit to an artist, including your name, contact details (email and/or phone), message, tattoo details, and any reference or placement images you upload.
  • Profile information that artists choose to provide and publish, such as name, biography, contact details, social media links, and portfolio images.
  • Artist account data: the email address an artist uses to log in, the one-time links we send to it to claim a profile or to log in, and, when an artist verifies through Instagram, the verification code and the public Instagram bio we read to check for it.

When you submit a form (for example, a review or an appointment request), we collect and process the personal data you provide.

3. How We Collect Data

  • Automatically through observability tools (Vercel Web Analytics and Logfire)
  • From public sources such as map services and studio websites
  • Directly from you when you submit a form, such as a review, an appointment request, or an artist profile

4. Use of Data

We use this data to:

  • Display nearby tattoo studios and artists
  • Understand how users interact with the site
  • Improve the service over time
  • Forward appointment requests to the artist you contacted so they can respond to you
  • Publish verified reviews on the relevant artist's profile
  • Verify your email address when you submit a review
  • Remind you of an appointment you booked, when you have agreed to it
  • Invite you to leave a review after a completed appointment, when you have agreed to it
  • Send you offers or availability updates from an artist you contacted, when you have agreed to it

5. User-Generated Content

Users and artists can submit content that is published on the platform, such as reviews, artist profiles, and portfolio images. Content that artists submit about themselves is published at their own request.

We are not responsible for personal data or other content that users or artists choose to publish on the platform. Such content reflects the views and responsibility of the person who submitted it, not ours. If you believe published content is unlawful or infringes your rights, please contact us and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.

  • Amazon Web Services (https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/) - secure storage of uploaded files and images

These services may process information about your device, your usage, or the data you submit, acting as our processors or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

We are implementing an automated process that will delete or anonymize appointment request data after the retention period appropriate under the GDPR, so that this data is not kept longer than necessary.

8. Data Protection and Security

We respect the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Sensitive uploads, such as appointment reference images, are stored in private storage that is not publicly accessible.

9. Data Accuracy and Content Disclaimer

If you are a listed artist or studio and wish to update or remove your information, please contact us using the address above.

10. Legal Basis (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process data based on our legitimate interest in providing, analyzing, and improving our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

When you submit a review or an appointment request, we process the data you provide based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

The appointment reminder, the review invitation, and any offers from an artist rest on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and can be withdrawn at any time through the link in every such email, with no effect on what was already sent.
