Effective date: October 1, 2026
These terms apply to tattoo artists who claim a profile on TheBest.Ink and use the artist dashboard. By confirming the claim link we send to your email address, you accept these terms.
TheBest.Ink is run by Abel Castro as a private project. The address and contact details are in the imprint.
These terms are for you as a tattoo artist. You use TheBest.Ink for your work, not as a consumer. Visitors who search for artists or send appointment requests are not covered by these terms.
We create artist profiles from public sources, for example map services and studio websites. A profile is public before it is claimed and stays public after the claim.
When you claim a profile, you confirm that you are the person shown on it. You may only claim your own profile. If you claim or try to claim a profile that is not yours, we remove the claim and may block your access.
After the claim you can edit the profile, add portfolio images, and use the other features of the artist dashboard.
You log in with a link that we send to your email address. There is no password. Keep that mailbox under your control, because anyone who can read it can log in as you.
Each person may claim one profile. Do not claim a profile in someone else's name, and do not let another person use your login.
If you think someone else has access to your account, write to support@thebest.ink.
You can publish content on your profile: portfolio images, a profile image, a biography, links, and studio images if you manage a studio.
You keep all rights to your content. You confirm that you hold the rights needed to publish it. This includes the rights of the photographer and, if a person can be recognized in an image, the consent of that person.
You give us the right to store your content, make copies in different sizes, crop it for previews, add your watermark when you choose that, and show it on TheBest.Ink and in previews of TheBest.Ink pages, for example in search results and on social networks. This right is not exclusive. You can still use your content anywhere else. The right ends when you delete the content or your profile, except for copies that are already in caches or previews outside our control.
Do not publish content that breaks the law, infringes the rights of others, or shows people without their consent. We may remove content or ban your public profile when we think it breaks these rules or the law. We will tell you when we do that, unless the law prevents it.
After the claim, you are responsible for everything you publish on your profile. If you publish inappropriate content, spam, or misuse the platform in any other way, we remove your access and may ban your public profile.
Customers can send you appointment requests through TheBest.Ink. A request contains the customer's name, contact details, message, tattoo details, and any images the customer uploads.
Use this data only to answer that request and to arrange the appointment. From the moment you receive it, you are responsible for what you do with it under data protection law. Do not add customers to mailing lists or share their data with others without their consent. Delete the data when you no longer need it.
The first artist who claims a profile at a studio can manage that studio on TheBest.Ink. Other artists at the studio can ask to manage it too, and a current manager can accept them.
Managing a studio lets you edit the studio information and studio images, accept or reject artists who want to be listed at the studio, and publish guest spots.
You may only manage a studio if you are entitled to act for it, for example because you own it or the owner has agreed. If the owner of a studio objects, we may transfer or remove the management rights.
Customers can leave reviews on your profile. We check that the reviewer's email address is real, and we moderate the text before it is published. We do not remove a review only because it is negative.
You can answer a review. Your answer is public and may be moderated in the same way. If you think a review breaks the law or these terms, write to support@thebest.ink.
To provide the service we send you emails: the claim link, login links, appointment requests, and notifications about reviews and replies. These emails are part of the service and cannot be switched off while you have an account.
We also send emails to your customers on your behalf, for example a confirmation of their appointment request and, if you want it, a reminder of the appointment or an invitation to leave a review. Customers can refuse these emails, and we respect that.
We do not send you advertising because you accepted these terms. If we want to send you news about TheBest.Ink, we will ask you separately.
TheBest.Ink is in beta. Everything is free during the beta, including the features marked Premium on the pricing page.
Features may change or be removed while we are in beta. We will tell you before we remove a feature you use.
When the beta ends, some features will require a paid plan. Nothing will cost you money unless you agree to a price first, in a separate agreement.
You can end it at any time from the Account page in the dashboard. You have two choices:
You can also write to support@thebest.ink and we do it for you.
We may remove your claim, block your access, or ban your public profile if you break these terms, if you claimed or tried to claim a profile that is not yours, or if the law requires it. We will tell you the reason, unless the law prevents it.
TheBest.Ink is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that the service is available at all times or free of errors. We are not a party to the agreement between you and your customers. We are not responsible for appointments that do not take place or for what a customer writes in a request or a review.
We are liable for damage only if we caused it on purpose or by gross negligence, as far as the law allows this limitation.
Austrian law applies. As far as the law allows it, the courts competent for the operator's address in Austria decide any dispute.
We may change these terms. We will send the new version to your email address at least 14 days before it takes effect, with the date on which it takes effect. If you keep using the dashboard after that date, you accept the new version. If you do not agree, you can end the relationship as described in section 10.
