American Traditional (Old School)Japanese Traditional (Irezumi)
Horst Vasquez has always had a passion for art. After training as a technical draftsman, he worked as a caregiver for people with disabilities, realizing creative projects there. In 2012 he traveled through Europe and the USA with his wife, tattoo artist Nikki Vasquez, attending tattoo conventions and assisting in studios. In 2018 he began his apprenticeship as a tattooer at Old Salt Tattoo Studio in Freilassing under Nikki’s guidance. In 2020 he passed the Austrian qualification exam for tattooers and started at Lasting Memories Tattoo Studio. In 2025 he moved to Balu Custom Tattoo, which he now calls his home. His style is strongly influenced by traditional American and Japanese tattoos and continues to evolve; Japanese art is a particularly significant source of inspiration.
