Annaí Anima (Anna Idza) comes from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and began her career as a tattoo artist there more than twenty years ago. In a male-dominated and often challenging industry, she needed a lot of resilience and motivation to find her path. She learned to tattoo in all available styles and to integrate different inspirations into one design, and together with great empathy this gave her the ability to adapt to her clients’ wishes. Beyond tattooing, she is versatile and curious; she has studied Shiatsu, parapsychology and music, and the holistic side of life, as well as psychology and energetic work, has long been a fixed part of her path. Through her love of tattoo art she discovered how fascinating and inspiring people can be and realized that she is not only an artist, but also loves working with people, believing that both differences and similarities can bring something magical into our lives, depending on our perspective. She finds her greatest inspiration in nature, in its movements and ornaments that connect harmoniously with the forms of the body, while Art Nouveau, realism and graphic elements give her designs character and depth, and creating something unique for each person is her most natural way of working, regardless of the first idea, taking time to develop each tattoo and, if desired, working together with clients on the creative process.
